Scott co-founded Medora to support communities by developing companies poised to deliver policy and/or marketplace solutions and to create a more equitable and resilient society.

Scott brings his background in strategic planning, policy analysis, crisis communications, marketing, political organizing, and business growth to Medora’s portfolio of clients focused on creating strong market growth or policy framework for their business.

Scott’s career has included leadership and senior management positions in state and local government, with Fortune 500 companies, in large public affairs firms, as a business owner, and on numerous political and advocacy campaigns in every region of the country. 

Career Highlights

  • Organized Mayors’ Agenda for the Future and managed advocacy and media engagement for United States Conference of Mayors under Conference President, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu.

  • Developed and managed a national department at JPMorgan Chase & Company to coordinate corporate responsibility, grassroots engagement and executive messaging in over 30 different states.

  • Successfully organized and executed strategy for Coalition for Responsible Nutritional Information to get national menu-labeling law included and passed as part of the Affordable Health Care Act.

  • Initiated and managed Louisiana Cultural Economy Initiative in Office of Lieutenant Governor – focus on developing entertainment business and creative industries in Louisiana to support the already strong tourism and hospitality industry.

  • Developed Congressional outreach and advocacy campaigns for Louisiana Office of Lieutenant Governor and Department of Culture, Recreation.

While he considers New Orleans home, Scott currently lives in Washington DC with his wife, two teenage boys, and their dog.  When he is not working, he is most likely on the water paddle boarding or dreaming about producing Nine Lives, The Musical Story of New Orleans on Broadway.
