The Challenges

Launch Pad is a New Orleans founded co-working and community platform that activates entrepreneurial ecosystems in mid-sized cities poised for growth and innovative development. As the Opportunity Zone law passed in 2018, they began a growth strategy that included a multi-market expansion, a capital raise, and a community impact strategy for current and new markets centered around the idea that economic development in the 21st century must be grown at home and incorporate early stage businesses and founders as well as established small businesses to make a market resilient.

The Results

Medora designed and executed a public affairs campaign that engaged Mayors and Economic Development officials in over 20 potential growth markets between 2018 and 2019. We participated in their SEED round as investors, supported their investor relations and Opportunity Zone strategy from a capital and public affairs/policy standpoint, and coordinated closely with the Launch Pad C-Suite as the Launch Pad Foundation was formed. Throughout 2020, as COVID shifted our growth strategy, Medora has continued to support Launch Pad’s community engagement, policy, and impact efforts around the future of work and entrepreneurial innovation.

The Challenges

The Metrc platform provides governments with a regulatory framework to efficiently monitor the cannabis markets and enforce compliance. They needed assistance navigating the regulatory and procurement process in local and state government.

The Results

Medora’s work with Metrc team has positioned them to become a leader in the competitive cannabis tech marketing. The ongoing strategy is a complimentary mix of proactive engagement, procurement expertise, effective lobbying at the state and local level.
